The Two-in-One Film Coater, offering both plasma sputtering and carbon evaporating capabilities, presents a comprehensive solution for diverse material research applications. Designed to fulfill the surface requirements of scanning electron microscope samples, including gold spraying, gold steaming, and carbon evaporation, this coater is particularly adept at producing experimental electrodes for non-conductive materials. It extends its utility to experiments involving various new materials, making it a versatile choice in material research endeavors.
With a compact size that not only saves laboratory space but also enhances ease of use, this coater is well-suited for laboratories, research institutes, and various university settings. Operating within an input voltage range of 208 to 240 VAC, single phase, and offering a 110V version with a 1500W transformer, the coater's power consumption is kept under 2000W, inclusive of the pump. Its output power specifications include 1600VDC with a maximum current of 50mA for plasma sputtering, while thermal evaporation using tungsten wire baskets operates at 10VAC with a maximum current of 20A.
The coater's working chamber, a fused glass tube, has dimensions of 160 mm in diameter and 110 mm in height. Equipped with both a DC sputtering head with a 2" target and a thermal evaporation head using tungsten wire baskets, the sample stage features a 50 mm diameter, allowing for a maximum coating area of 45 mm in diameter. The coater includes essential accessories such as a Double Step Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump with a Pirani gauge, a vapor trap for oil mist elimination, and a solenoid valve for automatic air bleed. The needle valve facilitates Ar gas inlet for improved plasma coating. With an inclusive Au target and carbon fiber for carbon evaporation, the coater's dimensions are L360mm x W300mm x H380mm, and it has a net weight of 50 kg, ensuring a practical and comprehensive solution for diverse coating needs in the research environment.
