Slot-Die roll to roll experimental coating system
Slot-Die roll to roll experimental coating system is a automatic slot-die coating system with a compact footprint that is less than 6'x3'. It is perfect for making uniform coatings from 1~300 micron thick.
Product Description
The Slot-Die roll-to-roll experimental coating system is a versatile apparatus designed for surface coating processes across a variety of substrates. Capable of accommodating continuous, gap, stripe, and grid coating requirements through the slot die extrusion die, feeding system, and feed valve body, this equipment stands out for its high coating precision, uniformity, and stability. Its application extends to sub-micron coating and finds widespread usage in industries such as lithium-ion batteries, FCCL, optical films, graphene films, ceramic films, high-end tapes, and various functional film applications.
Operating at a voltage of 208 - 240 VAC with a frequency of 50/60Hz in a single-phase configuration, the system's maximum power consumption is 5 KW, necessitating a 50A air breaker for optimal functionality. The Slot Die Coating feature enables uniform film coating with thickness ranging from 1 micron to 300 microns. This adaptability is achieved by altering the shim size with various patterns, facilitating the production of continuous, intermittent, or grid coatings aligned with the selected shim patterns. The system includes a Slurry Feeding Pump with a 4-liter tank, operating on 24DC input and consuming 500W of power. Maintaining an appropriate slurry feed rate requires compressed gas at 0.5~0.8MPa. The slurry feed rate can be adjusted from 0.1 to 150 rpm (or 0.023 - 34.5 mL/min), with a stirring speed set at 27 rpm. Additionally, the system incorporates shims (spacers) of various thicknesses (0.2mm, 0.3mm, 0.4mm, 0.5mm, 0.6mm, and 0.8mm), enabling the production of films with different thicknesses and enhancing flexibility in experimental coating applications. This Slot-Die roll-to-roll system delivers the precision and adaptability required for experimental coating research and development.
