Non-self-consuming metal melting suction casting furnace

SKU: MND-134201
Model: MSM20-8(Non-self-consuming) Metal melting suction casting furnace

The metal melting suction casting furnace is a small arc melting furnace, which can either smelt metal ingots or suction ingots to achieve multiple uses in one furnace and meet the various needs of customers.

 Product Description

The furnace is equipped with a visual vacuum pressure gauge to directly observe the vacuum degree in the chamber. The alloy ingot can be turned for multiple melting without damaging the protective atmosphere of the gas, and multiple samples (less than 7) can be prepared at the same time. It is an ideal equipment for preparing metal and alloy samples in universities and research institutes. It can be used for the preparation, purification and mixing of new alloy materials, such as high entropy alloy and high temperature alloy. (Non-consumable) The metal melting and suction casting furnace uses tungsten needles as electrodes. The melting point of tungsten is extremely high, and the arc temperature can reach 4000℃, which can melt almost all metals. During the working of the furnace, the electrodes and crucibles should be cooled with circulating water to ensure that the electrodes and crucibles will not be melted. The Non-self-consuming Metal Melting Suction Casting Furnace, model MSM20-8, is designed to operate under specific installation conditions, including use below an altitude of 1000m, temperature within a range of 25℃ ± 15℃, and humidity at 55% Rh ±10% Rh. It requires several key prerequisites, including a self-circulating cooling water machine that should be filled with pure water or deionized water, a power supply of AC380V 50Hz with a 63A air switch, which must be adequately grounded, and the chamber should be filled with argon gas with a purity above 99.99%. Users are responsible for preparing an argon gas bottle with a Ø6mm double card sleeve connector. Additionally, a floor-standing workbench with dimensions of 900mm × 600mm × 700mm, capable of bearing more than 200kg, and a ventilation device are essential. This furnace offers several noteworthy features, including a convenient Ø120mm furnace door for easy sample handling, front and rear observation windows for monitoring the arc melting process, and water-cooled components such as the vacuum chamber, copper crucible, and arc starting electrode. The up and down movement of the furnace utilizes a steering wheel design, and a joystick allows for flexible rotation. To enable multiple melting without compromising the protective gas atmosphere, a manipulator turning mechanism is incorporated into the furnace. The crucible design accommodates multiple small-sized crucibles, promoting efficient production of various samples and preventing cross-contamination. The furnace is known for its user-friendly operation, safety, and compact design with a minimal footprint. Technical specifications of the furnace include an optional power supply of AC380V 50Hz and an overall power rating of less than 10KW. The vacuum chamber measures Ø200mm × 300mm, and the standard crucibles consist of seven φ25 crucibles with a melting capacity of 15g stainless steel. An additional suction casting sample, φ6, is included with the same melting capacity. Optional crucible configurations include one 50g crucible with a size of φ40x20, four φ25x12.5 crucibles with a smelting capacity of 20g stainless steel, and another suction casting sample measuring φ10x75 with a melting capacity of 15g stainless steel. The furnace can be adapted for 50g stainless steel sample melting and casting, requiring a melting current of 300A. The vacuum degree varies depending on the pump used, with molecular pumps reaching 1E-5mbar and rotary vane pumps reaching 1E-3mbar. The furnace uses a non-consumable arc starting electrode, specifically a tungsten needle (W), and is suitable for melting metal materials with lower melting points than tungsten metal. It achieves a melting temperature of up to 3000℃, allowing it to melt nearly all metals, including 4.5g and 10g metal tungsten samples. The output current ranges from 20-315 (A). Product specifications indicate a size of 470mm × 315mm × 880mm (excluding power supply) and a weight of 50kg. Standard accessories provided with the furnace include one host (including melting power supply), a suction casting kit, one mechanical pump (including filter), a water chiller, a welder, and a furnace frame. Optional accessories are available and include a high vacuum system, an anti-corrosion digital vacuum display meter with a measurement range of 3.8 × 10-5torr to 1125 Torr, a molecular pump unit, and a vacuum unit.
