Induction Thermogravimetric Analysis Furnace 1200-1600C
This is a customized vertical tube furnace from 1200 °C to 1700 °C with TGA (thermal gravimetric analysis) function. Compared with conventional TGA devices, the TGA furnace can load larger samples up to 100 g to get a more accurate result for industry and can be operated under both vacuum and controlled gas atmosphere, even under hydrogen gas to research phase transition during material processing. The TGA furnace also may connect a gas analysis device to study gas composition change during heating and weight change
Product Description
The Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) furnace stands as a versatile instrument meticulously crafted for precise temperature-dependent weight change measurements. Derived from a modified tube furnace, this instrument adopts a vertical configuration to enhance its adaptability. Offering a customizable temperature range spanning from 1200°C to 1700°C, with selectable maximum temperature options ranging from 1200°C to 1600°C, the TGA furnace provides flexibility to accommodate diverse experimental needs. Tube size and material options further contribute to its versatility, with choices ranging from 1" OD to 2" OD tubes made from quartz, mullite, or alumina, tailored to different temperature requirements.
The TGA furnace integrates a high-precision force sensor with 0.05% accuracy, enabling weight measurements of sample amounts ranging from 1g to 100g. Output data from the force sensor can be seamlessly connected to a PLC or PC, facilitating the visualization of weight change curves as temperature varies. An included alumina crucible (25Dx25H mm) is provided, and additional options such as ZrO2, BN, or Y2O3 crucibles offer flexibility based on specific application needs, with customized crucibles available upon request. The programmable temperature controller adheres to European precision standards, offering programmability for heating rate, cooling rate, and dwell time. It incorporates a built-in PID Auto-Tune function with protection against overheating and thermocouple failure, ensuring precise temperature control. Temperature accuracy is maintained at +/-0.1°C, monitored by a K-type thermocouple.
Connectivity features include an RS485 Communications Port, enhancing the instrument's adaptability. For vacuum experiments, a KF25 vacuum port is integrated, allowing connection to a vacuum pump to achieve the desired vacuum level, dependent on the specific pump chosen. Gas delivery options are facilitated through a built-in 1/4" gas inlet and outlet, complemented by an optional mass flow controller, with the recommended gas flow rate of less than 200 sccm. The TGA furnace's capabilities extend to connections with the MTI multi-channel gas delivery system for gas mixing operations or interfacing with oxygen or a gas analyzer through the gas outlet port. This comprehensive set of technical parameters underscores the TGA furnace's versatility, providing precise temperature control and measurements for a diverse range of applications.
