High temperature vacuum electric furnace with a tungsten heater
Vacuum induction melting furnace is one of the most widely used equipments in vacuum metallurgy field. It has been proved that a considerable proportion of the alloys and special steels needed by aerospace, missile, rocket, atomic equipment and electronic industries are produced by vacuum induction melting furnace.
Product Description
The IM400-L medium-frequency vacuum induction melting furnace is a powerhouse designed to enhance the thermal and mechanical properties of various alloys, including nickel base, cobalt base, and iron base superalloys. Notably, when smelted in this advanced furnace, these alloys experience significant improvements in their overall characteristics. The furnace plays a pivotal role in the smelting process of a diverse range of materials, from stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, ultra-high strength steel, to tool steel, bearing steel, magnetic materials, elastic alloys, and expansion alloys. The utilization of the vacuum induction melting furnace ensures the meticulous control of material properties and guarantees high-quality outcomes.
Delving into the technical specifications, the IM400-L operates within a frequency range of 5-30kHz (intermediate frequency) with a robust 45KW power supply. Its vacuum chamber, crafted from 304 stainless steel, incorporates a double-layer sandwich structure with efficient water cooling, measuring φ400mm x H400mm. Equipped with a φ120mm quartz observation window and a feed port on the upper cover, the furnace provides optimal visibility and accessibility. The cooling system is comprehensive, featuring water-cooled electrodes, a water-cooled chamber, and water-cooled molds. The main observation window boasts a φ120mm diameter, complemented by a lifting platform with a versatile range of 0 to 40mm. Essential accessories such as a Tungsten Carbide thermocouple, vacuum funnel, φ8mm quick plug for the water cooling interface, and a CF160 vacuum interface are included. The furnace operates on AC 220V at 50/60Hz, showcasing a well-thought-out gating system with a dumping device for efficient pouring after the melting process. Casting molds, sized at φ60mm x 89mm, utilize water-cooled copper molds for precision.
The vacuum system is equipped with a bipolar vane pump boasting a pump speed of 4.4L/s. The incorporation of a charging tank facilitates the addition of Block B to the melt of A without the need to open the furnace door, ensuring operational efficiency. The induction heating system utilizes an induction coil with an inner diameter of 60mm and a height of 80mm. Temperature control is seamlessly achieved through automatic mechanisms, with the added option of manual control using a foot pedal. The supply voltage flexibility extends to AC 220V at 50Hz or three-phase 380V, providing adaptability to various power configurations. Although the suggested total power is unspecified, the overall dimensions of the furnace are measured at 1550mm x 700mm x 1400mm, making it a robust and versatile solution for advanced metallurgical processes.
