Product Description
2-Furaldehyde, also known as furfural, is an organic compound derived from pentose sugars found in biomass. It is a colorless or yellowish liquid with a characteristic odor, commonly used as a solvent, flavoring agent, and precursor in the production of various chemicals.
Application:
2-Furaldehyde is widely employed in the synthesis of furan derivatives, which are used as solvents, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural chemicals. It is also utilized in the production of resins, flavoring agents, and biofuels.
