The Compact Automatic Battery Electrode Coating System is a seamlessly integrated solution that combines the functionalities of reeling in and out, slurry feeding, coating blade application, baking oven treatment, and the final winding of the electrode. This compact system is adept at automatically coating electrode sheets, accommodating widths of up to 160mm and lengths of 500 meters. Operating with efficiency in mind, it functions at a working voltage of 208 – 240VAC, running on a single-phase power supply with a 50/60Hz frequency. With a maximum power consumption of 3 KW, the system prioritizes energy efficiency during its operation.
One of the standout features of this system is its coating thickness precision, showcasing an impressive accuracy of +/- 0.006 mm. The coating width can be easily adjusted within the range of 50-160 mm to meet specific requirements. Typically achieving a coating thickness within the range of 30~200μm, the exact thickness depends on the viscosity of the slurry in use. The system's coating speed is adjustable, offering flexibility within a range from 0 to 200 mm per minute. For the drying process, the oven temperature can be controlled between 40-150°C, maintaining a high level of accuracy with temperatures held within +/- 1°C for consistent and reliable results.
The reel-out/in system features a 50mm inner diameter and accommodates rolls with a maximum diameter of 200mm. The maximum coating length varies based on the coating and substrate thickness, with a typical capacity to coat 500 meters of electrode length in one run when using a 10μm thick foil with a 100μm coating. The system employs an SS316 moving rod for slurry stirring, ensuring a uniformly mixed slurry. Its compact dimensions, measuring 1000mm (L) x 650mm (W) x 650mm (H), allow it to fit seamlessly within a glove box for applications involving air-sensitive materials. However, it's essential to note that warranty coverage excludes damage resulting from improper storage conditions or maintenance. To preserve the system's longevity, application notes recommend using Acetone for cleaning and drying the doctor blade, slurry feeder, and roller to prevent rusting and ensure consistent performance.
