Product Description
1-Octadecanethiol is a chemical compound belonging to the class of alkylthiols, commonly used as a surface modifier and stabilizer in the production of gold nanoparticles and as a building block in the synthesis of self-assembled monolayers on metal surfaces.
Application:
It finds application in nanotechnology for the functionalization of gold nanoparticles and in surface chemistry for the modification of metal surfaces, imparting specific properties such as hydrophobicity and chemical stability.
